LITTLE BIG PLANET IS GONNA BE MASSIVE!
It seems like the PSP-3000 isn’t living up to it’s expectations for a lot of angry owners. Apparently, the screen isn’t as good as promised, and people are venting their frustration on the poor forums of the internet.
The problem with the screen? Some games and videos tend to interlace, especially when fast-moving objects are involved.
When asked by IGN about why this is happening, a Sony rep stated that “On some occasions, scan lines may appear on scenes where brightness changes drastically, due to the hardware features of the new LCD device on PSP-3000. Installed with this new LCD device, PSP-3000 offers more natural and vibrant colors on its screen, but the scan lines have come PSP-3000out to be more visible as a result of improving response time to alleviate the afterimages on PSP-3000. Since this is due to hardware specification, there are no plans for a system software updates concerning this issue.”
Hmmm. Wasn’t the screen supposed to be the selling point of this newly improved handheld? Oh well, beggers can’t be choosers, but if it’s pretty much promised that the screen will be awesome, then it should be able to live up to it’s standards all the time. Hopefully everything else looks way better and doesn’t have this problem, one can hope.

Fable 2 is one of this years most anticipated action adventure game. With that being said, this game has a lot to live up to, given the amount of hype it has received. One of the criticisms that the original Fable received was that it failed to live up to consumer expectations. However, it seems that Fable 2 may be experiencing the same types of criticisms that the original game faced.
Peter Molyneux, the man behind Fable 2, in an interview talked up how revolutionarily the co-op would be in Fable 2. However, according to a barrage of angry posters on the official Fable 2 forum, many of the fans are disappointment with the co-op mode currently in the game.
Fans voiced their disappointments in the forum after finding out that the game would not ship with co-op in place. However, Lionhead Studios quickly released a patch on the same day Fable 2 launched quelling many of the fanboy cries.
Despite Lionhead Studio’s efforts to satisfy the first day purchasers, fans were not at all pleased with the co-op patch. Most gamers are calling the co-op mode “broken.” Apparently the co-op mode does not let you transfer your fully realized character into a friends game but places you into the shoes of a NPC. Basically, you literally take over your friend’s henchman, with no traits or characteristics you might have added to your character.
On top of that, any extra items found during co-op cannot be transferred back into your game. However, any gold and experience does get added back to your stats. It does seem a bit lopsided that you cannot bring your weapons, armor and inventory into co-op but you can bring back exp and gold.
This is what one poster had to say about the patch:
Hey guys, thanks for the quick fix for the online multi co op. you know just taking a dump and selling it as a cool feature is kinda lame. the co op sucks hard in this game. you cant be your own character. and you cant freaken see anything because of the crappy (and I mean super crappy) camera.
So, thanks for all the waiting for this cool game with this awesome feature. i hate to tell you but it blows……I dont accept your patch. take it back and give us what you promised. not some cheap knock off.
Personally it really doesn’t seem like a deal breaker, however many on the official Fable 2 forum seems to disagree. Many have indicated that they will return the game if the issues are not fixed. It seems that many people have the impression Fable 2 would have MMORPG elements – now where would they get such an idea?
The game looks beautiful with excellent voice acting. The story plot is intricately interwoven with the side quests making them feel less like a chore and part of the core gameplay. However, until we release the review for the game I can’t really comment too much on the other elements of the game. Make sure to keep an eye out for our review.
