The sequel titled “Red Dead Redemption” was just announced today by Rockstar Games San Diego studios. The game that was a rumored PS3 exclusive will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 this fall. Now the story is expected to feature familiar characters, an open world and it will explain how the wild west ended.

Rockstar Games Sam Houser has this to say about the game, “The team at San Diego have massively exceeded our expectations with the sheer depth of experiences in Red Dead Redemption, The seamless combination of breathtaking beauty and intense action, all woven together with strong plotlines in a massive vibrant, rural environment is mind-blowing. We think this game helps to push the limits of what an open-world gaming experience can be.”

I for one was a huge fan of the first one and being a fan of western movies I’m very happy to see that the sequel is coming out this year.
