Rumors recently were floating around about THQ closing down there studios but i’m happy to say, that they are alive and well and we can look foward to Red Faction, Legends of wrestlemania , and many more games for the 2009 line of from THQ enjoy the footage.
Okay before I posted an article about Take a Break option. Let me explain myself before you guys shoot me down. When I said “Take a Break” option I mean an option where an AI bot takes over and plays the game for you……in Online co-op. A feature like this can be really handy. If something happens like your kid cries, or you got to go to the bathroom, and you are playing co-op, then you can use the take a break option and do your business, while an AI bot takes over.
I am not talking about hitting the pause dumbasses. If you hit pause during an online co-op mission in lets say……LEFT 4 DEAD (which has the feature), your buddies have to guard you while you take care of business. Same goes for any other co-op shooter. Some people even said hit the save button…..yeah that fucking works when your playing with others.
More games should have this feature. It is not a major one, but it is a welcomed one. I mean this is not a revolutionary thing, but it would be a nice addition to any game. For games like Left 4 Dead where co-op is the emphasis, this feature would be a great edition. Yes I know it can get annoying, because some people will take advantage of the feature, but when you are playing with your friends it is a good option. This option will obviously not work well with any games with ranked missions, etc, but it should be available for unranked or offline missions, etc.
Just imagine a game like LBP, where taking a quick break during a level can be a bitch for your friends, because they sometimes can’t advance without you. Now if you had a “Take a break” option where an AI bot can take over, wouldn’t that be amazing? You can go do what you got to do, and come back and the AI bot would have kept up with your friends. Then you just go back to controlling your sackboy. A feature like that would be impossible in LBP, because the AI bot would need to pretty much act like a human, but you get what I am saying. Something like that in a game would make the game that much better.
Now I re-typed it so you guys can understand what I am saying better. Again this option wouldn’t work for single player obviously, but for co-op it would. Now….let me know what you think
