Good show HHG. I still think your emphasis of revenue over profit is off, but that’s a minor gripe.
I wasn’t too impressed with that “programmer” you interviewed though. I’m not a huge Gears of War fan but he really has no room to talk about Cliffy B’s ability to deliver. He came off as jealous and petty. And the fact is, Gears of War 1 and 2 has had a huge impact on the state of the console race…you even said it yourself. Resistance is a decent game, but was far from a system seller.
Oh, one more thing…when you talk about a famous person possibly having an STD, make sure you use the magic word “allegedly” before you state the rumor. As your traffic increases, you’ll have more visibility. You don’t want to get sued, heh.

You completely miss one very important technical point. The PS3 has 512 meg of RAM just like the XBOX 360.
But the PS3 dedicates 256 meg to the RSX GPU. Leaving only 256 meg of RAM for both the XMB and the game.
The 360 uses shared memory which means that developers can decide the memory usage, for the most part. The 360 will generally have more memory for creating “larger worlds” in games than the PS3.
