Microsoft Continues To Rise over Sony This Generation with Exclusivity

Microsoft has benefited out of the gate over Sony with multi-platform titles. They have continued to again and again deliver better games, whether the games were exclusive to the 360 or they were multiplatform; I will explain what I mean further down. Aside from that, Microsoft is making quick moves with time exclusivity such as Lost Planet & Bioshock. These are examples of how Microsoft continues to edge out Sony’s machine and 3 years later it’s still present in this console war.
The Lost Planet 2 trailer debuted on XBL showing us an amazing looking game. Microsoft snagged time exclusivity on Lost Planet 2 again. What this means is that fans of the series and new fans to the game will want the game sooner rather than later, so they will spring for the 360 version over the PS3 version. The sales are going to be massive, by the time the PS3 version drops, most gamers will already have their copy and not bother purchasing a second for another console. Microsoft is also making moves capitalizing with the DLC available for multiplatform games. For instance, Microsoft was able to grab exclusive DLC for GTA4 & Fallout 3; a great step in utilizing fans of those series to go out for the 360 version over the PS3. Microsoft was also able to get their hands on a 360 bundle of Resident Evil 5 which looks amazing by the way; Sony has not unveiled any new bundles & if they did, most likely it would feature a PS3 exclusive game rather than a multiplatform. All this is shows how Microsoft is able to make multiplatform games more a less 360 exclusives.
When you have big franchises like these, you’re supposed to represent it properly and Microsoft once again shows Sony how to do it right. This is the first Resident Evil game ever to be featured on Microsoft’s consoles and they went out of their way to give fans a brand new reason not to just buy the game on their console, but to buy the system along with it as well. Even without a Run & Gun system or other fan favorite features (Mine includes the suit case); Capcom is easily going to reach the 1 Million mark with RE5 fairly shortly. We have seen it many times before and we’ll continue to see it in the future, that Microsoft will continue showing 3rd Party developers love and support. This competitive edge will more than likely give the crown to Microsoft’s console in this generation of console wars.

everyone who says ps3’s better we’ve got better hardware and free online that stuff means shit if the quality overall is substandard ive been playing games since i was 5yo i started with the atari and ive been watching them my whole life looking for stand out things to make me want to play new things and so far nothing sony has done for the ps3 has made an impression on me enough to want to buy one, same thing with the wii motion sensor controls dont intrigue me its more for non gamers and family the 360’s community arcade set-up and overall quality makes me happy even if i have to pay $50 a year

Well, first of, I’m not of those PS3 or XBOX fanboys, I have both consoles in fact, and one thing that I’m sure is that the PS3 has the best hardware over the XBOX 360, but who cares, most of the time I’m playing 360 over the PS3 because the Online is so much better, even if I must pay for it, so I don’t give a shi&^*) about all those exclusives, I’m gonna buy it if they like me, so I suggest you to buy or play your games for fun, not to see which console is better than the other, the reviews on Internet help a lot to make a good selection of the game you want. So leave all the crap about “PS3 Rules LOL…” or “XBOX 360 is the best…”, play whatever you like and shut up.
By the way, I have both consoles keep dust in their boxes, playing PSP all day…

Sony’s first – party exclusives are better than Microsoft’s in every way – that’s a fact. If the best Microsoft can do is over – market multi – platform titles then what hope have they got this generation??? Multi – plats don’t give you an excuse to buy one console over another. What would you rather have – some DLC for GTA: IV that comes bundled with the RROD so you’ll only get to play it for 5 minutes before your console overheats and explodes or would you rather buy GTA: IV, be able to play it online without going bankrupt, miss out on some worthless DLC but at least have some EXCLUSIVE games to play this year? LOL…………
360 = Multi – platform games and Gears Of Bad Graphics.
PS3 = Uncharted, Heavy Rain, God Of War, Gran Turismo, Ratchet & Clank, hardware that works, a decent online service, etc, etc.
It’s no wonder the 360 still holds single – digit market share in Japan after THREE YEARS……..LMAO.
The xbox 360 is a peice of crap, i own both the 360 and the ps3 and i have sent my 360 back 3 times for hardware failures and guess what? 2 of those times were during releases of major games such as grand theft auto and the second time was star wars TFU, so i bought them for the ps3 since my xbox was out getting repaired. I havent had a single problem with my ps3, plus all the money i wasted on on line game play with the 360 and bateries for the controllers and just to get wi fi on the peice of crap as made me hate microsoft. Ill play the same game on both systems back to back and the ps3 has way better graphics on my hi def tv. Microsoft will keep buying there way to the top with exclusive content but what they need to do is spend money on making there harware worth the plastic its made of.

XBOX 360, the only real choice this time around…
It’s just Microsoft being greedy and only thinking about there customers and not gamers, Sony would never buy up DLC because they would know it would upset the other party of gamers.
