Metal Gear Solid 4 For Xbox360 At E3?

Posted by hiphopgamer | Microsoft, Real Talk with the HipHopGamer | Wednesday 13 May 2009 11:58 pm

INTRO

There’s rumors going around about Microsoft’s E3 media briefing, and Solid Snake is one of them. Considering the wow factor that Final Fantasy 13 brought to the industry last year Solid Snake would really be big but in this situation considering the game has released and sold nearly 5 million copies on Playstation 3, is it really worth coming out on the Xbox360 platform?.

Point#1

According to a twitter update from a microsoft insider the next GTA IV DLC is going to titled “Blood and a four Leaf Clover” is due out by Christmas, more info on Halo: ODST and possibly the motion sensing camera which should be a great addition for Microsoft. Although these suggestions are rumors, E3’09 is right around the corner and it seems to be shaping up to be massive. Stay tuned for more updates on the hiphopgamershow.com

Why Microsoft’s Warhound Will Revolutionize The FPS Genre

Posted by Master Samo | Microsoft, Real Talk with the HipHopGamer | Wednesday 13 May 2009 9:30 pm

This is a title that is destined to do great things for Microsoft. It will give you a clear idea of what to expect from future FPS titles. With this game, not only are the developers exploring uncharted waters and untapped potential in this genre, but they are also stretching the boundaries of what is possible in an FPS game. Make no mistake, by the end of this article, you will have a clear understanding of what it would take to revolutionize the FPS genre, and take it to new heights.

This title is an open-ended First-Person Shooter, that is set in modern times and is currently being developed by Techland for both the Xbox 360 and PC. In the game, you will play as an ex-Delta Force operative, currently working for the world’s largest military contractor, and complete a variety of challenging missions in battlefields around the world.

According to Gameinfowire, you will need to stay on top of your training, finances, and position in the highly-competitive mercenary market to ensure that you receive only the most profitable missions. More successful missions equal more money, which can be used to buy new equipment, and weapons for future jobs. Its innovative First Person Perspective cover system will allow you to bring the battle to your enemies in ways you’ve never dreamed of before.

Not only would its current features take the FPS genre beyond anything that has ever been done before, but it would enable this title to easily surpass the highly-anticipated Section 8 as well.  The reasons for my last statement are as follow:

First, due to the fact that this title will focus on complete freedom of choice, it will be a highly immersive and realistic experience. To clarify, you will have unprecedented opportunities to pick your missions, weapons, battlefield tactics and vehicles. You will be able to create your own path through each mission, and for each objective. You will also be able to select mission start times; meaning, missions can be launched at different times of the day, enabling players to catch guards napping in the early morning for example, or use their night vision goggles for a stealthy, but deadly, night ambush. You will also be able to select insertion/extraction points, as well as the types of insertions including land, air, and sea; for example, a truck will get you there, but an airdrop or a journey down a canal via a raft can be much more direct.

Interestingly enough, you will need to buy satellite photos, recon data, and other intelligence about the battlefield situation. You will be required to pick a deployment time and location, then pay for the means of getting in and getting out. You will earn money for each successful mission, and by selling materials picked up on the battlefield. Furthermore, you can use your earned wealth to buy weapons, ammo and new gadgets, as well as invest in learning new skills.

Second, it has extremely deep character development elements. To clarify, you can train your character in several skills, including climbing, repair, and weapons proficiency. More importantly, skills will be earned and developed as in the real world; for example, shooting ranges will improve accuracy, running tracks and climbing walls will boost cover and movement skills. Moreover, you will need to develop and use skill specializations to gain advantages in combat; in other words, new skills will offer fresh opportunities to advance through the mercenary ranks, and new ways to complete missions.

Third, the size of the game will be beyond most FPS titles on the market. To clarify, each mission begins with a satellite map of the terrain. Most of these maps are around or over six square miles, which should give you an idea of just how big this game is shaping up to be.

Fourth, it will be different everytime you play it. Meaning, every mission will be laid out differently each time you play it, enemy units will take up new positions, post new patrols, lay traps in different locations, set up ambushes, etc.

Fifth, it will include highly interactive and destructible environments. In other words, you will have plenty of surprises for the enemies; for example, you can destroy buildings enemies are hiding in, set villages on fire to smoke them out, or cause avalanches and knock down trees to clear your line of fire, or to create obstacles for the enemies and cover for you.

Finally, it will give you the opportunity to climb up the career ladder and increase your reputation among the elite mercenaries of the world. In fact, successful players will earn prestige among their peers, which leads to better and more lucrative contracts in the actual game.

Due to the fact that this title is a highly ambitious one, in addition to the fact that Techland already has two titles set for a 2009 release, it would only be fair to assume that Warhound would be delayed until 2010. However, if we keep in mind that the title was supposed to be a 2008 release, it would not be a sin to expect it in 2009.

We already know that the developer is in discussions with Ubisoft regarding this project, as well as a number of other big publishers. With stunning graphics, destructible environments and an unprecedented level of gameplay freedom, the Xbox 360 will be having an incredible title to add to its ever-growing 2009 line-up.

God Bless You All

Bioshock 2 Will Change First Person Gaming Forever

bioshock-2-sea-of-dreams-20081023115906472_640w

More Bioshock 2 Info

The previous Bioshock was a title that combined magical powers (bio engineered ability’s in the story line ) with artillery to a perfect mix, this was shown to be a bad match in other games like shadow run because it off set the balance of gameplay. It also had a story that immersed that player in a world that was the example of a dystopian society, with plot twist that made you love every damp corridor and never want to leave.
The sequel seems to be paced to surpass this in every way. With a new protagonist (the first Big Daddy) players with have a new reason to lurk the halls of rapture once more. This new title has many new additions, like the way you can take down splicers that followers of the franchise will love. Players now have the ability to mix curtain plasmids for a stronger attack. The addition of the Big Sister is also a big change in the dynamic of the game play, because you are now being constantly hunted. Check out the video above for a 9 minute walk through. Post any other hints to new game play that you may have caught that I didn’t.

Peace

Megan Fox Admits Being Bisexual

Megan Fox admitted that she is bisexual. That’s what revealed from her interview with Esquire for June edition. The “Transformers” star claimed that she is OK with same sex relationship but insists that she doesn’t want to sleep with another bisexual woman.

Megan who just broke up with her fiance, Brian Austin Green, told the magazine, “I think people are born bisexual and then make subconscious choices based on the pressures of society. I have no question in my mind about being bisexual.” She added, “But I’m also a hypocrite: I would never date a girl who was bisexual, because that means they also sleep with men, and men are so dirty that I’d never want to sleep with a girl who had slept with a man.”

However, the 22-year-old hot actress-and-model doesn’t want to be considered as a lesbian. “Look, I’m not a lesbian,” she said previously in another interview. “I just think that all humans are born with the ability to be attracted to both sexes. I mean, I could see myself in a relationship with a girl – Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands,” she defended.

Megan once told about her first experience of falling in love with a girl when she was 18. She was in crush with a Russian stripper named Nikita after the actress was dumped by her boyfriend in the past, Ben Leahy.

Yesterday we posted a story about a Zen Pinball demo coming out on Thursday, well an avid reader (Joni-Ice) spotted something that everyone missed on the main website for the game.

The above screenshot is from the main website of Zen Pinball under the “Game Features” tab. We first got wind of the rumor from the HipHopGamerShow, and now it seems like it will eventually become a reality. I think it’s time people start taking the Hip Hop Gamer a little more seriously.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete gets a release date

Posted by DaSolidProof | Real Talk with the HipHopGamer | Wednesday 13 May 2009 6:29 am

final-fantasy-vii-advent-children-20040716070849928

Final Fantasy fans rejoice, the Blu-ray edition of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will be release on June 2, 2009. Unfortunately, the Final Fantasy XIII demo will not be packaged with this edition. Instead of a demo, you get a sneak peek of new Final Fantasy XIII trailer. The producer Yoshinori Kitnase explained a couple of weeks ago that because the game is being released on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 in the West, the company has no plans for an English demo of FF XIII, because it wouldn’t be fair to 360 owners.

Sony won’t see a sale boost up here in the US as they did in Japan, thanks to Square-Enix’s unusual business plan. I know what you Sony fans are thinking, “damn Microsoft” but not all the blame goes on them. Gamers must remember that the 360 is the just the platform, they have no control over  what these third developers can do with their titles. Square-Enix continues to disappoint their FF fans every time they announce something about Final Fantasy XIII.

Anyway, the Blu-ray edition will have the original voice cast that includes Rachel Leigh Cook and Mena Suvari and also includes 26 minutes of bonus footage and one thousand new scenes. There is also a 25-minute original anime short, “On the Way to a Smile – Episode: Denzel”, which tells the story of character Denzel before the events of Advent Children.

Five Games People Need To Be Talking About Going Into e3

Posted by MattG | Microsoft, PC, Real Talk with the HipHopGamer, Sony | Wednesday 13 May 2009 4:18 am

This Fall is looking to be filled with quite possibly one of the best two-three month lineup in gaming history. With titles like Modern Warfare 2, Bioshock 2, Uncharted 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, Halo 3: ODST, and more coming out in such a short amount of time expect a lot of other games to be passed over from the end of Summer till the end of Winter. Most likely the games mentioned above will take up the major headlines, but like every year there is always a Dead Space or Uncharted who slips through the cracks of major buzz and turns out to be one of the better games of a generation.

With this years E3 right around the corner, it’s easy to focus all attention just on the heavy hitters, but there are also some other games that may slip under gamers radars that shouldn’t. These games have just as much potential as any, and looks to be the sleeper contenders for ‘Game of the Show’ at this years E3.

Star Wars: The Old Republic
System: PC
Release Date: Possibly Late 2009/Most Likely 2010

The original KOTOR is considered by many to be one of the best games of all-time. People have been patiently waiting for BioWare to continue the franchise, but instead of getting a single player experience on consoles, instead Bioware announces a MMO for the PC only. This blew some wind out of ‘The Old Republics’ sails, but it shouldn’t have because the current project is looking great.

Only a few details and trailers have been revealed about the game, but so far all signs point to another hit from BioWare. This game could easily sneak in and win Game of the Show because when it comes to RPG’s no one compares to BioWare.

Mafia 2
System: 360, PC, PS3
Release Date: Fall 2009

The original Mafia on PC was a great game, and this game looks to continue the game in right direction. While Godfather II, garnished pedestrian reviews from reviewers and fans alike, this game looks to change the trend in open world mob games.

The game looks absolutely great with graphics that surpass most open world games including GTA IV. For those of us, who enjoyed the realistic experience that was touched on in GTA IV then this game may be the game for you. Unlike the mindless fun in Saint’s Row II this game looks to have a great story, fun missions, and great chracter development.

Splinter Cell: Conviction
System: PC, 360
Release Date: Christmas 2009

Everyone is wondering what Microsoft has up their sleeve at e3 this year when it comes to exclusives, and while Halo 3: ODST and Alan Wake are getting a lot of buzz that doesn’t mean we should forget about Splinter Cell.

Everything that has been shown to the public up to this point has looked great, and Sam Fisher looks to have another hit up his sleeve. The guys at Ubisoft want to revamp the series, so this game could bring up a lot of buzz at E3. Looks to be a potential sleeper hit in Microsoft’s corner.

The Saboteur
System: 360, PS3, PC
Release Date: Fall 2009

Nearly every game set in World War II Europe involves you being a one man solider set out to save your platoon or replay some of the biggest battles in the war’s history. Well in the Saboteur, you fight against Nazi’s and travel around Paris, but you are no solider, but instead are a complete badass.

The player will be able to explore both Paris and it’s countryside in the hopes of avenging the deaths of his friends. The game uses a similar technique seen in the most recent Prince of Persia when it comes to color. When the area is occupied by enemies it is black and white, and once you save the area it is filled with color.

The game looks to be coming along nicely, and could find a very nice niche in the market for those wanting an artistic World War II expierence that is different from the norm.

The Beatles: Rock Band
System: 360, PS3, Wii
Release Date: September 9th, 2009

When music games became big with Guitar Hero people couldn’t get enough of it. Now in 2009, people have way too much of it. With almost 2-3 new Guitar Hero’s a year, and Rock Band it’s time for the music genre to get a facelift, and the Beatles game hopes to do that. This game isn’t supposed to be like any music game, and while details at the moment are scarce, the hype around this game is great.

Play as quite possibly the greatest rock band ever, and with some fresh gameplay expierences and you got a mega hit on your hands. People may be mum on this game because of the oversaturation of Rock Band’s/Guitar Hero’s but this game looks to be different.
