Activision is showing why they are the number 1 publisher in the videogame industry. Games like PROTOTYPE that just hit store shelves is blowing people away, also the X-Men Origins was a great movie game title which is rare too see in this industry, but now comes the megaton bomb. Modern Warfare 2 is looking to set a new standard not just in gameplay or graphics but in overall Sales. Activision did a Advertising deal with TBWA Ad Agency so big that even the mighty Grand Theft Auto Series will be moved to the number 2 spot with first day sales records (3.6million).

“We believe the idea that TBWA presented to us delivers on that goal,” said Brad Jakeman, chief creative officer of Activision, speaking to Ad Age.
“What we liked most about the TBWA campaign is that it’s an idea that’s big enough to be articulated in lots of different kind of media. That is always the acid test for a great idea.”
This Ad Campaign will incorporate TV, print, outdoor, social and online media.
The biggest entertainment launch of all time is the title that Activision wants to potray in order to surpass GTA4 when Modern Warfare 2 is released. Looking back at history with Call Of Duty 4 and world at war, this revelation is already in the making.
November 10th 2009 will be the day the game industry see a new world record in sales and overall industry growth, along with this launch Microsoft is getting a bigger share of the pie with the timed exclusive map packs that is set to debut shortly after release of Modern Warfare 2.
