Hulu Shafts PS3? Update 2.80 did contain features!

If you’ve been surfing through your favorite sites on PS3 to watch good quality streaming videos of your favorite shows such as Family Guy, Lost, The Simpsons or any other, you will have noticed that Hulu has gave the boot to Sony, or so it seems.
It seems everyone was wrong about Firmware update 2.80. The update seemed to speed load & sync time of trophies and better playback quality. It was also discovered that we now get 64 character usage while in a text chat; as if that would redeem such a horrible app. The latest discovery made recently is that 2.80 may have dropped the support of Hulu, or maybe it’s the other way around. Since update 2.80 Hulu has apparently failed to stream videos to your PS3. The site may be up and running, but when clicking on a video, the black box shows a message saying “This video cannot be played on your console. Sorry for any inconveniences.”
The other possible reason is that Hulu may have joined hands with Microsoft. Last week Microsoft and Publicis Groupe struck a deal to tap into data from TV set-top boxes to targeted TV ads. That’s not all, it appears that the other part of the deal involves developing new digital ad formats to build on Publicis Groupe’s existing initiative, called the Pool. The Pool is an alliance consisting of Microsoft, CBS, Hulu, Yahoo, AOL and Discovery. Either way you look at this, PS3 owners get the red light.
