Year after year Madden football games has been rinse and repeat, few updates here and there change the year number and boom you have a new Madden. Now things has changed starting with Peter Moore, since he arrived things has been looking alot better for EA sports considering the major jump from Madden 08 to 09, Fight Night 4 is amazing, NBA Live is a lot better and already EA has recognized the competition stating that they are doing there best to close the gap in quality so that NBA Live can be a serious contender for NBA2K.

One thing that has been a major problem in the Madden franchise is the lack in ability to get gamers hyped and pumped up to even play the game and that comes from having a great presentation. ESPN NFL2K5 personified presentation with their football games and after many years later EA finally gets it and they get it right. The one main thing that plagued Madden has now been fixed, overhauled, and you will be overwhelmed by the production value that has been added to the franchise.

EA Sports Madden 10 comes packed with Pro Tak Animation System, Online Team Mode, Increased Graphics, and Now Presentation. The only thing left to say now is ” EA SPORTS IT’S IN THE GAME” and yes it finally is in the game.

Heavy Rain Has Been Pushed To 2010

Posted by PAYBACK-IRONMAN | Real Talk with the HipHopGamer, Sony | Monday 13 July 2009 8:59 pm

It looks like Bioshock 2 isn’t the only game getting pushed to 2010. The PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain will also be released in 2010 as well and its due to the huge line up of games that are being released this holiday season. Quantic  Dream co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere has this to say regarding the delay.

heavy_rain_26“Purely from my perspective, most publishers today realise that it’s not ideal to release a new IP or a new genre just before Christmas,” he said.

“It’s a very crowded place to be, and certain games need more space to live their life. Everybody at working on the project, both at Quantic and Sony, believe this is the right time.”

Even though this is very disappointing news, its still a smart move when you really think about it. I mean this holiday season is already crammed with other huge titles like Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2 and it is true what he said about new IP’s not selling sell well during the holiday season; just look at the sales for Dead Space, Mirror’s Edge and Little Big Planet. All three of those titles were met with positive reviews but failed to meet their expected sales numbers.

New Details Emerge On The Next Tomb Raider

Posted by PAYBACK-IRONMAN | Microsoft, Real Talk with the HipHopGamer, Sony | Monday 13 July 2009 8:22 pm

We all know that the Tomb Raider franchise is in need of serious reboot and with Square Enix now in control of Eidos it looks like things are going to change. Earlier today there were some leaked concept images which featured some very grotesque monsters that supposedly look similar to Dead Space’s enemies. Also it was stated that it will be an open world adventure game set somewhere in Asia and the combat system will be entirely revamped.

Unfortunately the images have been taken down, but if this information is true then I’m sure that Lara Croft will definitely be back on top like she was, ten years ago. So what do you guys think about all this? Please leave your comments below.

Bioshock 2 delayed until next year

Posted by DaSolidProof | Real Talk with the HipHopGamer | Monday 13 July 2009 4:47 pm

It’s definitely a bad day for gamers today. Take-Two announced earlier this afternoon that Bioshock 2 will received a new release date. The company made a statement stating the game will be push back into their 2010 fiscal year, which begins November 1, 2009 and runs through all the way to October 31, 2010. Bioshock 2 was originally planned to be release in North America on November 3, 2009, but all of that has change, thanks to folks at Take-Two.

Take-Two CEO, Ben Feder made a statement stating “The decision to shift a release date is never an easy one, especially with a product as highly anticipated as BioShock 2. We felt that it was essential to invest the additional time to ensure that this title will deliver what its fans expect and deserve,” he said. Mr. Feder also stated, “As a result, we will now be launching sequels to several of our strongest franchises – including BioShock 2, Mafia II, Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption – during the next fiscal year. These titles will anchor our lineup for fiscal 2010, and along with other products planned for next year, provide a platform for enhanced financial performance in what we hope will be an improved retail environment.” Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick made statement stating, ”We recognize that our revised outlook for the balance of fiscal year 2009, due to both internal and external factors, is a disappointment.” “That said, we concluded that moving the release of BioShock 2 into fiscal year 2010 was the right decision for the product. We believe the result will be a more compelling consumer experience and a better performing product in the marketplace. At the same time, near term retail conditions have proven to be more challenging for our business than the assumptions built into our prior outlook.”

I’m very disappointed in Take-Two, but if the developers need more time to make Bioshock 2 the best game possible, I’m all for it. Take-Two did not reveal the new release date just yet, however. Hopefully they clarify some things up before the end of day.

Microsoft Launching Music Streaming Service This Month

Posted by hiphopgamer | Microsoft, Real Talk with the HipHopGamer | Monday 13 July 2009 1:24 pm

NEWS:

Microsoft has the spirit of a champion meaning they always want to win and they are going for the win once again launching their own Music Streaming Service. Spotify.com took off and became very successful in the music industry and just like Microsoft when they see something work they take it put money behind and give it a name and compete. Now that the Xbox360 is on the market this is just another selling point that Microsoft can add to their system.

The ability to stream music instead of pirating with the downloads is the legal way to get what you want in the music business. Microsoft is expected to launch their service this month and it seems like it’s going to be huge.

Microsoft’s Peter Bale, Executive Producer of MSN, told The Telegraph today: “Music is an important area for Microsoft. We are looking at launching a music streaming service imminently.”

Peter Davis, Marketing Manager at music download service 7digital (Spotify’s commercial MP3-partner) commenting on the news, told TechRadar:

“We’re excited to hear the news Microsoft are looking at a music streaming model. It’s great that technology giants like Microsoft clearly recognise the importance of digital music for consumers. We’ll have to wait to see whether they go for the crucial MP3 universal music format which works on all devices.

“Also who will they partner with if they want to offer the music to purchase?” added Davis. “We recently announced 7digital.com is providing high quality MP3 downloads for all international versions of Spotify.”

Similar to Spotify

Bale added that Microsoft plans to have its music streaming service ready by the end of July, offering a similar service to Spotify, with users able to stream tracks to listen to for free or opt to pay to download music they want to own.

“It will be a similar principle to Spotify but we are still examining how the business model will work,” noted Bale.

“We are looking at how other similar businesses have structured their business models and trying to figure out what will work best for both consumer and Microsoft.”

Bale hinted that there could be tie-ins with Microsoft’s Xbox 360, noting that Microsoft was in a unique position to bring “scale and a quality of product” to music streaming .

Fallout 3 DLC For PS3 Pushed Back

Posted by hiphopgamer | Real Talk with the HipHopGamer, Sony | Monday 13 July 2009 12:54 pm

NEWS:

Fallout 3 the major 4 million seller has DLC for the PS3 which was announced a while back by Bethesda Software. Now PS3 owners are extremely excited about there turn to get their hands on these great expansions but unfortunately gamers have to wait a little longer because the DLC has been pushed back. Look below for all the info

fallout3images2

We’re excited and eager to bring Fallout 3 DLC to PSN. Unfortunately, the content is going to be releasing later than originally expected. Our DLC expands on the original game tremendously — each DLC offering 4-6 hours of additional content — and is no trivial undertaking. Here’s a brief look at the DLC you’ll be able to play.

* Operation: Anchorage (pictured above) – Enter a military simulation and fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe – the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders.
* The Pitt (pictured below) – Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh and choose sides in the battle between the slaves and the slavers.
* Broken Steel (pictured below) – Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. Continues the adventure past the main quest and raises the game’s level cap to 30.
* Point Lookout – Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content.
* Mothership Zeta – The aliens have returned, and they’re pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you’re tough enough to survive.

Fallout 3 Broken Steel PS3 Fallout 3 – Pitt PS3

What can you expect from our DLC?

fallout3images1

* More Fallout 3 Goodness – More weapons, more creatures, more armor and outfits, more characters to interact with, and more loot. You’ll find all of these within the unique new locations of Broken Steel, Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt, Point Lookout, and Mothership Zeta.
* DLC Trophies – Did I mention we’re supporting trophies in each DLC? This was a big priority for us and one of the reasons for the extra time needed. In the end, we think it’s worth the effort to bring trophies to the DLC.
* Support for existing characters and saves – Once you’ve downloaded and installed the DLC, the content is accessible at anytime (once you leave Vault 101). You can play the DLC whenever you want — with one exception (see Broken Steel below).

So when can you expect Fallout 3 DLC? We are knee deep in testing at the moment, and we’re hoping to have the first DLC out by the end of September. That long? Keep in mind that not only do we need to test each DLC on PS3, we also need to test each DLC when used in conjunction with each of the other DLC, as well as all of them together, along with the entire original game.

I do have good news! We have decided that Broken Steel will be the first release since it is easily the most requested DLC from our fans. Broken Steel allows you to continue playing the game after completing the Main Quest, raises the level cap to 30, and includes 4-6 hours of additional gameplay. It is also the one DLC that requires you to finish the Main Quest from the game to play the new content. Regardless of whether you’ve completed the Main Quest, the level cap will already be raised and higher level characters will begin encountering some of the new enemies in the Capital Wasteland. For the release of Broken Steel and the other DLCs, we’ll release a new update for the game.

After Broken Steel, we’ll be releasing Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt shortly thereafter, probably at the same time – just to get them out to you as soon as we can. After that we’ll have Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta available as soon as we can, so that the wait between DLC is as short as possible. Once we release Broken Steel, we’ll have a better idea when the other DLC will be coming and will let you know specifics.

We hope you enjoy Fallout 3’s DLC. Thank you for your patience. They’ll be here before you know it.
