Shadow Complex Footage: Looking Good

Posted by MattG | Microsoft, Real Talk with the HipHopGamer | Sunday 19 July 2009 6:50 pm

This game is looking great for a $15 XBLA game. The game which was revealed at E3 uses the Unreal 3 Engine, and is being developed by Chair Entertinment which is owned by Epic Games. The game includes high quality cut scenes, and is perfect modern 2D shooter. Chair Entertainments other game is Undertow which is also available on the Xbox Live and won a bunch of awards back when it was released in 2007. Shadow Complex includes weapons and guns like a foam gun, rocket launcher, super suit (which allows players to run across water), and much more. It also has the achievement tracker which was feautured in Gears of War 2. The game is looking to be a great summer pickup when it drops, and along with BlazBlue shows that 2D gaming can still be very effective in 2009.

Little Big Planet on the PSP Video

Here’s some footage of the upcoming version of Little Big Planet on the PSP. It looks like all that LBP goodness in a portable version. Graphics are solid and gameplay looks just as good as the original. It’s good to see some of the big franchises from Sony’s 1st party going to the PSP, especially titles like this which are perfect for a portable medium. These are the type of games that Sony needs on the PSP to help compete with the major DS franchises that people can pick up and play on the go.

New The Old Republic Trailer

Posted by MattG | PC, Real Talk with the HipHopGamer | Sunday 19 July 2009 5:54 pm
When the Old Republic was first revealed to be a MMO many KoTOR fans were upset. They thought the emphasis on story which made the first two beloved by fans would be lost in favor of a WoW clone. BioWare though is showing that many gamers were doubting their potential with a Star Wars MMO. In the trailer, the team at BioWare shows their emphasis on story, character development, and dialog. The game will feature the most voice actors ever featured in a game. This game actually looks like it is taking the KoTOR universe where BioWare always wanted. An interactive universe where you can travel where you want, when you want, create your own clans, and characters in the Star Wars story. The game is a great example of a living breathing Star Wars universe.  Now only if this game could also see it’s way over to consoles as well.
