Shadow Complex Footage: Looking Good

This game is looking great for a $15 XBLA game. The game which was revealed at E3 uses the Unreal 3 Engine, and is being developed by Chair Entertinment which is owned by Epic Games. The game includes high quality cut scenes, and is perfect modern 2D shooter. Chair Entertainments other game is Undertow which is also available on the Xbox Live and won a bunch of awards back when it was released in 2007. Shadow Complex includes weapons and guns like a foam gun, rocket launcher, super suit (which allows players to run across water), and much more. It also has the achievement tracker which was feautured in Gears of War 2. The game is looking to be a great summer pickup when it drops, and along with BlazBlue shows that 2D gaming can still be very effective in 2009.

Yeah this is a day one XBLA purchase for me. So far PSN I think has a better grasp on releasing more fully featured digital only games. These latest releases from MS are definitely doing a much better job of following suit. I always thought that initial size restriction was a pretty stupid thing.
