Here\’s some information that should tell you what Halo Reach is.

1. The famous five -
These silhouettes suggest a specialist Spartan team which may include Sierra-259, who answered a radio call for help in the trailer.

2. The subtitle is the setting.
Reach is the name of the planet that is famously eradicated by a Covenant fleet.

3. It\’s based on 2 books.
The planet\’s destruction is covered in 2001\’s The fall of Reach and 2003\’s First Strike.

4. Project Natal?
In an interview with the Seattle Times, Bungie revealed that Reach could be compatible with the new technology.

5. Spartans Fall.
The planet birthed the Spartan Project and most were wiped out in the attack.

6. It\’s a prequel.
Both of the books are set before, and lead directly into, the start of Halo: Combat Evolved.

7. It\’s all Keye\’s Fault.
The Covenant found Reach via a tracking device hidden aboard the Iroquois, piloted by Halo\’s Commander Keyes.

8. This is how the world ends.
In the novel, Reach is glassed by the Covenant Fleet. Are Spartans fighting a futile battle or is this a chase and escape game?

9. Comic Tie-in imminent?
Marvel is publishing a mini-series entitled Spartan Black, about a black ops Spartan team. Writer, Fred Van Lente claims that it\’ll introduce “a brand new element to the Halo universe that will become might important in the coming months”. Could this be Reach\’s crew?

10. You can play it in 2010
A multiplayer beta invite will be included with Halo 3: ODST for a yet-unannounced date in 2010.
