Major Nelson is the biggest Xbox360 fanboy in the world but that comes with good reason, he’s their promotional tool. Although Xbox360 is a great machine and has made a big impact in this industry when your being outsold by the competition consistently now it’s hard to believe that Sony Playstation 3 is collecting dust.
Major Nelson and the entire Xbox team has given gamer so much to enjoy over the years but in truth regardless of their major stride and rise to become number one in this industry, SONY is the brand name that is still the main choice for gamers around the world and the proof is below in this Vidicle (Video Article).

Why is $199 mentioned so often when you need to have a hard-drive or memory unit to do utilize most of the big network features like games on demand or 1080p streaming, plus Live Gold. That stuff adds up to the same or more based on who you are and what your setup is. $299 is not bad for what you get with the Elite and the upcoming bundles look great.

How to keep dust off is the problem. PS3 having facebook and twitter links needs to be promoted. If only scea had as complete a system as scee(playtv, vidzone, stream to cell phone). Then ps3 would still need to update its browser with something in the vein of chrome or even android to better deal w/mem limits. Uses of bluetooth for cell pics and printer, etc. Video store w/mo. rental fee like netflix, maybe even a deal w/blockbuster? As on psp, the access to skype, sense me and radio channels would be a bonus to anyone who has their system setup a part of a home theater. Demos for atleast 75% of games on psn. Hopefully, with rumored 3.1 fw of cross chat and error reporting, we’d also have a more streamlined and intuitive gui for messages, trophies, etc. Oh, xbox still exceeds in adverstising too! So far xbox is doing the damn thing in being a media center. W/o microsoft I wonder how much of the ps3 talents wouldve gone to waste.

I didn’t get a chance to comment when I first saw this E3 video, so I’m taking this opportunity to do just that.I’m going to break it down in list form:
1. First and foremost, Major Nelson sounded EXTREMELY gay when he said “Beatles!”, I loled at that!
2. MN says, “Microsoft is a technology company. How can we make stuff work? How about getting the RROD fixed?
3. You asked MN about a Live price cut. His response, “We never said that…” “We’re adding value, that’s what we want to do.” Yeah, that’s what you want to do, but I’m pretty sure that’s not what WE want you to do!
4. MN says, “We just want to make sure gamers are happy” Read point 3
5. MN says, “We have some things that no other console can offer” Like what?
6. MN has some insecurity issues? MN says, “When you look at the line up of games we have…It speaks for itself right?” Trying to reassure himself, it’s just sad…

6. Not everyone can get instant HD streaming; I always knew this was going to be a problem. To get that, the 360 would have to be remodeled with a newer futuristic Ethernet cable – Not going to happen..
7.In my opinion, PS3 is more of a complete console over all. It has everything other consoles have to offer in one place. Natal = PlayStation Eye, Wii-mote = PS3 Motion control.
14. New dashboard updates won’t stop gamers from gaming: Microsoft needs to pay attention to that statement.

Other that it was completely unnecessary use such a title, since that topic took place so many months ago, and he didn’t make an affirmation, it was more like a wish; this was a good article.
Again, the way HHG presents this article makes him look biased.
Anyway, my PS3 was collecting dust last winter, but this year it has been active with BD movies, KZ2, NGS2, and Uncharted 2.
Oh, and the primary VG first party of this generation is not Sony, it’s Nintendo, in terms of total Hardware sales (portable and consoles), and software-wise it’s Microsoft (attach rate).
We can’t let the fact that Sony havingoutsold the competition in September due to the price cut, and new marketing, out-weight all of the figures that the other consoles have been pulling during this generation.
The primary system of choice is still the Wii and the DS, numbers don’t lie.
Major Nelson is not a fanboy. He is probably the most respected person in this industry. He works for Microsoft, but first of all he is a gamer.
On his weekly show he even featured an interview with the developers of Scribblenaut, which is an exclusive DS title. He did this, because he just liked the game. He knows some people at Naughty Dog and he said “congratulations @ Naughty Dog for getting this amazing game done” He said he needs to pick this up. This shows he IS a gamer.
It is stupid to say he is a fanboy, because he is not. Tretton (Sony), Greenberg (MS), Reggie (Nintendo) etc etc are much worse. Actually you are a bigger Sony-fanboy than he is.
