Glad to hear that the crew at Guerrilla are getting ready to drop another jewel on us. Killzone 2 may be the most under appreciated game this generation, in the context of mainstream recognition. While they have nothing to prove, I think it is possible that they look at the other FPS games and feel like they have to go the extra mile. Great for us!!!

I like HHG’s idea of Facebook.
It’ll be cool if people could sign into Facebook on PS3/Beast. And you enter a room filled with everyone who has a Facebook account. Xbox Live’s Facebook is much better, but doesn’t allow you to communicate with xbox live users who have facebook account. I don’t even know if people on my friends list have a facebook account.

Hopefully Gran Turismo 5 does the arcade mode. I was hoping for an arcade mode in GT5 back when GT5Prologue came out.
Killzone 3 sounds like it’s trying to one up all FPS (60 fps, Fully destructible environments, cover system, etc…).
VGA’s were decent. It was much better than last year, but that’s not saying much.
God of War 3 is the main game I’m buying for 2010. As far as GOTY I think it’s going to be hard to call this year, and they might screw God of War over because it’s coming out so early in the year (Resident Evil 5, Killzone 2, and Infamous took a hit at the VGA’s for the same reason).
MMA vs. UFC. Honestly I don’t care, I liked UFC, but it’s not a day one buy for me, so MMA surely won’t be. EA will never give up as long as there’s money to be made so if MMA sells 1 million total then they’ll pop out another one every year.

I don’t think EA MMA is dead on arrival. UFC 2010 is coming out but it’s just going to be the same recycled stuff with the same stiff animations as 2009, just like how the Madden games are. Just a minor roster update.
EA MMA on the other hand have fighters that aren’t in the UFC that are popular as well and a lot of those fighters are technically better than the UFC fighters. Not to mention it’s not using that recycled WWE engine like UFC 2009/2010 is using. I’m anticipating EA MMA much more than UFC 2010, coming from an MMA fan, not just a UFC fan.

You know HHG, i dont like hiphop or anything like that… its just not the music im into. But when i first heard about you i decided to watch a video or two to see who you were and if u knew anything about my passion. After keeping an eye on you for the past 6+ months or so, i have to say. You know your shit, your honest, your not a fanboy to anything, and you ultimatly keep it reel. Thanks for being fresh in this industry especially when you look at all the other obvious biased people (or websites) out there. Keep it up, and ill keep watchin.

P.S. oh and on the MMA issue… (i used to work as a store manager for a GameCrazy, so i get to see a lot of gamers, and get there opinions, and i’m not into fighting games or anything like that,) but seeing as how people were clearly craving a UFC (or MMA game.) Seeing as how it sold over 2 million coppies. i would honestly say we cant write EA’s offering off yet especially when we havent even SEEN it yet. Not to mention that EA has been improving on there overall game development lately. Thats just my Two cents. I guess all we can do is wait and see
EA sports are the premier sports developer in my opinion, the level of detail and attention in all of their games is unprecedented. Their games are always authentic in terms of gameplay and the user experience, but I agree they are entering unfamiliar ground by not being the officially licensed game. Their animation cycles and collision detection is on point and they do have fight night and have had a whole 12 months plus to evaluate the competition .. I guess we will see, I think it is good to have competition within the genre
Have you heard anything about Killzone 3 adding split screen to their engine? I think that’s very important because then you can play competitive with a buddy next to you like in Warhawk and you can play co op with someone in your living room like you can in Gears. That’s something PS3 games are missing, Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 miss this badly.
EA MMA is obviously dead on arrival anything MMA in the US that doesn’t have the UFC brand on it is DOA.
As for Game of the Year… you’ve got some pretty effen heavy hitters coming out next year… Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell, GT5, FF13, Alan Wake, CoD6… just to name some off the top of my head. As for MMA… I’m hoping it does well… I need to call my cousin Mike Pyle and see if he’s going to be in it… been a long time since I talked to him.

the first god of war was released in march 2005 and won a lot of game of the year awards. obviously the release date didn’t hurt that game too much.

Killzone 2 was mediocre at best. I dont care about “fully destructible environments”, Killzone cant do co-op! Ask SONY wtf (where the f***) are the co-op games? Why is Killzone 3 not co-op? This needs to be explained!
Stop with this GT5 contracts with auto makers saying they dont want to see their cars being crashed when they have the exact same cars being wrecked in other racing games. Tell it like it is, Polyphony is “Phony”!
God of War 3 is going to get crushed by Halo:Reach. Every aspect of the game is going to be better than God of War 3, & most of all Halo 3 is going to sell 5million in week 1.
