Gerard (HipHopGamer) Williams Biography

Gerard Williams also known as the HipHopGamer was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY with his Grandmother, Father, brother, and sister.

Notice that there was no mother mentioned which brings us to one of the many hardships that Gerard Williams faced growing up, and that’s the selfish act of his mother leaving him at the tender age of 2 years old.

Gerard and his Grandmother have a special bond. When Gerald was just 5 years old, Grandma realized he had a love and passion for playing video games, so she sprung into action and helped pioneer who we know today as the HipHopGamer.

He played legendary systems such as Atari 2600, Nintendo, Sega Master System along with Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox360.

In December 2007, HipHopGamer began his gaming journey with a playstation eye camera, a notepad, and passion that led him to making Youtube videos.

It didn’t take long before the gaming industry took notice of this new journalist on the rise with his HipHop swagger and unique delivery. It was then that HipHopGamer officially changed the way reporting the news was conducted.

One gentleman in particular took notice, Torrence Davis of thebitbag.com. Torrence saw HipHopGamer as a huge talent and a breath of fresh air for the gaming industry and granted him access to the biggest event called E3.

HipHopGamer made his E3 debut and never looked back. During his second year in the business, he created his own website, developed a major following, conducted interviews with the biggest stars in the industry, and has also broke down the barrier of a hiphop face being a
major voice for the gaming community.

Every Sunday the HipHopGamerShow.com airs over the internet. In the first quarter of 2010 HipHopGameShow’s website repeatedly received over one million hits. His fans love his show because it consists of great game news, game reviews, hiphop news and special guest
interviews.

Again, HipHopGamer prides his success on his style, delivery, and content. These ingredients have put Gerard Williams in a league of his own as he shakes up the underground gaming industry.

The next step for him is to make his national television debut and then immediately thereafter, Host The HipHopGameShow on national TV.

This Champion is ready to strap his HEAVY WEIGHT GAMING BELT on the next Title winner.
