Sam Fisher Beats Out Solid Snake In Terms Of Gameplay

Posted by hiphopgamer | Microsoft, Real Talk with the HipHopGamer, Sony | Thursday 13 August 2009 8:23 pm

Splinter Cell: Conviction has been a long time coming with a good amount of controversy surrounding the title. First when it was announced that it was only coming to Xbox360 that shocked the industry considering the previous game came out on both platforms. There was also talk about the Playstation 3 not being able to handle Splinter Cell: Conviction cause of technical issues, but ubisoft cleared that rumor up fast. There was also a major delay of this game and Ubisoft went back to the drawing board and, that was the smartest move they could’ve made with this title.

Metal Gear and Splinter Cell always had some sort of relationship rivalry ever since the franchise debuted on Xbox 1. Gamers every where loved the fact that they had a new type of stealth game they had great gameplay , good story, great graphics, and longevity. Although Splinter Cell made a great debut into the industry last generation Metal Gear still had the edge especially when it came down too story and presentation.

Now things are different and Sam Fisher isn’t the same as the previous version gamers are use too. Sam Fisher is quicker, badder, and better and in terms of gameplay Sam Fisher beats Solid Snake in many ways making Splinter Cell Conviction the official rebirth to this franchise in every way.

Metal Gear has great gameplay but Sam Fisher steps it up a notch with features like the ones listed below.

1. The interrogation gameplay in Splinter Cell is soo much easier and deeper to control, walking around with your character talking to him getting answers, smashing his face in a door, or ramming his head into glass I mean the way it feels and the way it’s represented is on another level from what we’ve seen in Solid Snake.

2. Movement around the enviornment is so much smoother considering your climbing up poles, shimmering across ledges, running, hiding, dodging is so much simplier and looks more fluid in-game which makes the over gameplay quality higher than what’s presented in Metal Gear 4.

3. The more stealth kills you do the more perks you get throught out the game to do other moves and abilites which is incredible. This makes playing in stealth mode not just an option but a significant bonus to the game because it opens up other ways to kill enemies and it rewards Sam Fisher with new abilities to help certain situations you encounter during gameplay

4. You don’t only use Sam Fisher you’ll be fighting with some of the pedestrians as well in certain levels (more details is coming soon about that)

5. The unique shadow you can create to make the enemies think your in one spot when your actually on the move with your flanking technique is incredible as well and easy too pull off

Those 5 examples are just pieces of this game, there’s so much more we haven’t seen or experienced yet. Now Metal Gear has tons of great gameplay and there’s some things Solid Snake has that Sam Fisher doesn’t like the camoflauge or taking sides with factions in the middle of war. So yes Solid Snake has his perks as well, but for the overall ease of use with the gameplay and new things you can do, Splinter Cell is where it’s at.
