Rockstar is one of the elite game developers this industry has but they are not alone in this category. Naughty Dog for years has been a major player on the Sony Console and the Playstation 3 is no different. Uncharted 2 is one of those games that will remind you of why you brought your nex gen gaming system and most of all why you are a gamer.

Rockstar along with Naughty Dog are both Triple A game devs but friendly competition will always be apart of this industry as well as many others. With the E3″09 Announcement of AGENT coming from the GTA developers one can only wonder if Rockstar is out to prove something.

Grand Theft Auto is a title that speaks in tremendous volume even higher than the beloved HALO and now with only one console to focus on, they are ready to show that they can too set a benchmark such as the great Uncharted 2, but with another title and that is AGENT.

Uncharted 2 has been the talk of the industry as of late with a number of great reasons to support it. The infamous showing at E3′09 is what started the onslaught of hype surrounding Uncharted 2. The key things about this game that stands out are the Graphics, Multi-player, and Single Player experiences. This game has it all but most importantly it exceeds over the competition in every way.

There’s no Xbox360 game this year that has come out with the progession to be able to compare with an update sequal like Uncharted 2. Games like killzone 2 can also be mentioned but considering that Naughty Dog made the bold statment regarding using the Playstation 3 to the max Uncharted 2 delivers in more ways than one and in more ways than the Xbox360 can this year.

Seriously PC gaming is great and there’s a market for it still but, Uncharted 2 amongst other console titles this generation are bridging the gap to the point where PC’s are eventually going to be obsolete. Look At These 2 Screens Oh My God

Here’s a video from Comic Con 2009 showing off a new co-op mode in Uncharted 2 called Gold Rush. In the game you and your friends have to find a certain treasure indicated on the map, carry it over to the treasure chest as a team, defeat all the enemies that are trying to stop you from getting to the goal, and then when you finish that you keep playing with tougher enemies until you eventually die. Looks fun, and has a lot of Horde mode similarities but obviously isn’t the highlight of the game. I have no complaints though because it seems like the guys at Naughty Dog are throwing in so much content. The single player, story co-op, multiplayer, and this seems like a pretty sweet package. It’s always nice to have a wide variety of modes to play.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is definitely hitting store shelves this fall on October 13, 2009. That‘s right ladies and gentleman, the sequel to one of the highly anticipated titles on the PS3 is only the three months away. So I advice you to work some overtime so you’re able to purchase this title and witness this masterpiece when it is release.

Uncharted 2 will feature new gameplay mechanics, such as stealth action segments, and will change the climbing mechanic to allow free movement over walls, in a manner similar to Assassin’s Creed. What we witness as this year’s E3, Nathan will be able to flip over certain pieces of furniture to use as cover. The game will supposedly have to no loading screens, but we will have to wait and see that. Nathan himself will have a darker side in this outing, adding more depth to the campaign mode. The player will learn what makes him a thief. Naughty Dog’s goal is to the maximize the utilization of the Cell’s SPUs. The game is expected to have more realistic environments and animations.

Naughty Dog announces new features gamers can enjoy when the game is released later this year.

Game Of The Year Potential all the way this game is going to be mind blowing with the story line, multi-player, action, and features this game will revolutionize the 3rd person action adventure genre.

Since the release of Uncharted Drakes Fortune back in 2007 it was easily a sleeper hit but when you have games like Halo 3 coming out in the same year it’s hard for sleeper hit titles to get the proper shine they deserve. Amazingly Uncharted held it’s own selling a little over 2 million copies and making a mark on the Playstation 3 console exclusively. Now 2 years later Naughty Dog has reached a level not seen in any other game in this genre and records will be shattered.

Uncharted 2 won game of the show at E3′09 and although God Of War 3 was present and playable Uncharted 2 considering that it’s coming out this year really stood out of the crowd and with these new features and looking at this new footage gamers around the world shall be prepared for another epic journey through Drake’s Fortune.

At the Sony Press Conference only one game took the collective breath out of the room, and that game was Uncharted 2. While games like God of War III and Gran Turismo 5 got the fans all excited and on the edge of their seat, when the shot of Drake overlooking the destoryed city went on the screen people just sat there in graphic-whore awe. The game looks absolutely beautiful.

The single player experience looks even better than the original with improved graphics, better animations, and all the things that made the first game great. The single player footage I got to see was basically what you’ve seen either before E3 or at the Sony press conference. Basically it looks great, and there isn’t much doubt that the 2nd game will be better than the first. The first one was one of the better games made in 2007, and now with the game having a well known name in the market hopefully this game will get even more love from the masses.

Let’s get to what we’ve all gotten our hands on though and that is the multi-player/co-op. A new addition to the franchise, but a welcomed one. One of the few gripes with the first game was that after you beat it there was no real reason to go back. Now with the ability to play with and against friends replayability will be much higher. Though people were worried if these features would just be tacked on and not a quality product. Well after playing the multi-player and co-op since E3, I can assure you that the online features are quality products.

Let’s start off with co-op. Following the same path as Resistance 2 the co-op mode will be completely separate from the single player, and will allow players to experience something new. Talking to Justin Richmond of Naughty Dog he said that the co-op will have different story elements from the single player. Besides just playing with your friends, you will also be able to delve yourself deeper into the Uncharted universe. You will be able to play with up  to two of your other friends.

My experience with the multi-player has overall been a great one. The graphic transition from single player to multi-player has been a smooth one, and Richmond states that it was very important to the team to make sure the game would look the same on both the single and multi-player. The idea from multi-player started with the team just tinkering around with the idea, but after testing out they saw how much fun it really was. While the game is no Call of Duty it is one of the better third person shooter multi-players and in my opinion is better than the experience currently in Gears of War 2. The mobility and agility in the game offers an experience that gamers usually don’t see in online shooters. The plunder mode is a nice change of pace for capture the flag.

So far so good from what I’ve seen and played on Uncharted 2. The expierence is different and fresh, but beautiful and well made. The online features look good will bring the game some muhcn needed replyability. Uncharted 2 drops this Fall for the Playstation 3.
